I spend most of my working time in situations where "agile" and "lean" thinking are not (yet) the norm. It's only natural that a goodly part of the day is spent in explaining and demonstrating the value proposition to people who reside in the region of the opinion spectrum from Skeptical to Stubborn. That's why the occasional visit to a truly effective and smooth-running agile environment is always refreshing. Last week, I had the pleasure of spending a full week working with a well-oiled agile development team at a Mexico City start-up. It was a great experience for me, and I hope I left them with at least one or two useful ideas in exchange for their hospitality.
